what's the difference between microblading and nano brows?

Microblading is a sharp instrument made out of 7-16 find needles configured into a blade shape to deposit pigment into the skin. Once the cuts have been made, pigment is left on the skin for several minutes. Voila! Beautiful crisp thin strokes lasting you from 6-12 months. Nano Brows are machine controlled using one super thin needle similar to an acupuncture needle. The very tip of the needle is dipped into the pigment and the vibration pulls the pigment up into the cartridge. It is then dispensed gradually from the needle into the skin allowing for controlled movement, creating flawless hair strokes. Voila! Flawless hair strokes lasting you up to 2 – 3 years. Both cause trauma to the skin, however there are levels are trauma. Microblading can be very traumatic to the skin, especially if it is done a yearly basis, and or if the artist is not properly educated. It is possible to be cut too deep causing scars and no more hair grow in the area being cut. If you have oily skin please avoid Microblading, as pigment will not hold, making the artist press even harder to deposit pigment. Choose your artist wisely, and educated your self, this is your face! Good Luck!

am I good candidate for lip blush? cold sores?

Before you book an appointment with me, you have to ask yourself the following question. Am I prone to cold sores? If cold sores are not treated prior to your appointment, it could end up not the way you expected. If you ever suffered from a cold sore, you need to talk to your family doctor to prescribe you anti-viral medication. Depending on your severity, medication should be taken a couple of days before the procedure, the day of procedure, and after the procedure to control a possible breakout.

how do I prepare for lip blush?

If you want the best results, it is recommended that you start exfoliating and moisturizing at least a week before your appointment. Sugar and honey can be found in your kitchen and great as an exfoliating agent. You can use coconut oil to moisturize your lips as it is super absorbing or your lip balm. Hint* My favourite lip balm is from MAC Cosmetics and it’s called “Lip Conditioner” Literally the best!

does lip blush hurt?

Women usually rate the pain a 2-3 out of 10, which is great for lips! With proper hand positioning, stretch, and needle depth, I hardly hurt my clients. In fact, I am told that my hands are super gentle! A topical numbing cream is applied on the lip for 20 minutes before we start the lip blush procedure to ensure you have a pleasant experience.
